Director General, AnaEE-ERIC, France

Professional background: Michel Boër has a PhD diplomas from the University of Toulouse – Paul Sabatier in astrophysics and space sciences and he is Director of Research at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). He is a recognized specialist of high energy transients and gamma-ray bursts. He contributed or led several space- and ground-based experiments such as XMM-Newton, Ulysses, TAROT, HETE, and Virgo, and contributed to the discovery of gravitational waves. He holds several awards, such as the Breakthrough Prize in Physics, Gruber Prize, etc. In the past years his interests turned to experimental ecology. He is Director General of the AnaEE-ERIC European Research Infrastructure in experimental ecology (ESFRI Landmark). He coordinates the large infrastructure EU funded project AgroServ.

Presentation Title and Objective: Transdisciplinary services for the research community in agroecology: the AgroServ project.

AgroServ is a European Union funded infrastructure project that gathers 11 recognized Research Infrastructures. It aims to providing transdisciplinary services to advance the research in the transition towards a sustainable agriculture in the context of climate change and biodiversity loss. AgroServ features services from the molecule to the ecosystems, to the society. Working with stakeholders is at the core of AgroServ, and several Living Labs are developed. In this talk I will present the overall purpose and structure of AgroServ, main achievements, and how the scientific community can benefit from the services provided by AgroServ.
